We, Pedro Guitián and Elena López Alvar, founded Gemedata in 2024 to build products that transform the relationship between healthcare practitioners and patients. The idea was born inside Clínica Guitián, where we spent countless hours poring over patient scans. Each case meant gathering fragmented records, examining every detail, and applying our clinical judgment to deliver the best possible care. But the process was slow, and even the most experienced eye could only see so much.
That’s when we began asking: what if AI could help us see more? What if we could centralize fragmented patient files to save time, scale more efficiently, and deliver a better patient experience? We explored how technology could amplify our expertise, uncover hidden patterns, and make care not just faster, but smarter. Conversations with our patients—and breakthroughs in medical imaging and diagnostics—sparked the vision for Histora, Gemedata’s first product.
Soon after, we partnered with technologists to bring that vision to life. Our first prototypes proved the potential, and today we’re preparing to launch Histora’s practitioner-facing platform in late 2025, with a patient-focused version to follow in early 2026. As Gemedata continues to grow, Histora leads the way as our flagship product, with more innovations to come at the intersection of health and technology.
Histora is guided by a network of active advisors who bring expertise from dentistry, healthcare, and technology. Their perspectives help us stay ahead of clinical needs, patient expectations, and industry innovation.
